Isolation from the society can take a toll on your mental health which in turn affects your physical health. The lock-down period is increasing as more people are getting affected. The severity of the issue is clearly creating alot of panic. But people who are living isolated in flats or rooms without anyone or even with our loved ones feel socially not connected and emotional exhaustion. For example if you take my case, I am living with my parents and younger siblings we find certain things we like to pass our time also but still ultimately as days go by our anger is only increasing even though we are together and the main reason to our anger is that we have to live within this small space of a flat. We are not fighting because we hate each other, or we are not fighting because there is any kind of problem among us. We are fighting because we are shut down inside a flat , specifically two rooms and we are allowed to move inside this very limited space for more than a month now. Initial days were easy but not anymore. When I call my friends who are living in houses , I feel jealous of them cause they can step out into their porches and see the sky and the trees and plants and feel the freedom of being out compared to us living in flats.

Right now, all I feel is to get out of my home atleast step out of my house and stand there watching the sky, trees and birds and everything that is outside. I have observed our anger when we are sitting inside and all I feel during these times is anger, frustration, helplessness, stress, confusion, Irritation, emotional exhaustion or disturbance and things like that. The sleeplessness is inevitable as days go by, sitting inside and sweat profusely, hearing the news and getting tensed hearing how the virus have spread and how people are dying and how many people are dying is on one major side too, frustration of not able to go outside, irritation of having to move only within these two rooms we have, anxiety about tomorrow, and isolated feeling, disconnected from the society.

Self quarantine can create in you an emotional exhaustion and that may lead to major issues like depression, stress, sleeplessness and much more. Always hold yourself up and tell yourself that “this too shall pass”. Surely it will take alot of time but our patience can help us to be safe and in good health and make us productive for the near future. Never forget to talk with people more and connect with them through call. Always stay connected never isolate yourself from people completely we just require physical isolation but we need to talk to our loved ones daily and feel loved by them. We humans are designed in such a way that we cannot live without love. So always hold yourself, take the required precautions, make use of our technologies and connect with everyone who makes you feel good and talk to them on a daily basis. Know that tomorrow you will come out stronger than before and that will be much better than before. Always hope for the best and hold yourself up.
