It’s Unrealistic

Unrealistic celebrity standards are seeping into our minds and shaping expectations for how our partners should look, which is unfair. It’s cruel when people struggle to love their spouses or partners unless they have the same glow, fake lashes, or slim bodies with exaggerated features. When you hold such expectations—unrealistic, to be frank—you must realize your partner could hold those same standards for you, and you might fail miserably. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and by creating these unattainable standards based on celebrities, you’re ignoring the fact that even actors and models require a huge team of surgeons, doctors, nutritionists, dietitians, groomers, assistants, and more to maintain that image. Meanwhile, your partner likely does everything themselves. So who is better? It’s not about comparison. You need to throw these unrealistic expectations out the window and focus on building a meaningful relationship between two flawed individuals who are growing and bettering themselves together. Love is precious, to have someone to share that love and affection is beyond perfection. Be perfectly imperfect and stick together!
