Gratitude Jar: Gratitude is the best attitude !
I decided to keep a gratitude jar for the year of 2025, because I thought its such a positive change to keep a note of all things we are grateful for . We thank God or the universe or people as per our beliefs and etiquettes, why not we keep a memory of what we are grateful for, so that we know all the blessings and positivities of this year! We often remember negativity, insult, traumas etc for longer, its a human tendency but we oversee all the good moments at that time. So to keep a track of how the year went on a positive note and to feel good about our growth “having a gratitude mindset and the keeping the right memories “ is essential.
I took an old Jar in which my mom used to keep somethings and covered it in gift wrap, then started putting small small folded chits after the end of a day if for some incidents of the day I felt happy, grateful or motivated. As part of seeing everything in a growth perspective and acknowledging the importance of having a positive mindset we have to make sure that we do things that matter, that reminds us that this life is not as unfair as we see it. A gratitude jar is a zero cost idea towards positivity, instead of a gratitude jar we can also consider keeping a gratitiude journal whatever you are easily comfortable of. You can also design an old tissue box as a gratitude jar and make it a creative process as well. I have not brought anything fancy to do this, just the simple things available at home. I was getting breathing trouble and phelgm continously when I was going outside of my home, it made me apply for work from homes or leaves frequently. This hindered my sleep and happiness, I had to speak to my doctor to know that it might be more mental than a physical issue. Then I listened to some yoga videos where the trainers have mentioned same concept that if there is some sort of mental dip or blockage, if we are constantly sad we will fall sick faster. Most physical issues are connected with mental issues. So I decided to be mindful , this gratitude jar was part of my idea to keep my mind and body clean. I hope this article becomes inspirational to some of you readers atleast. The journey became simpler when I decided to try to see the positive side of life, instead of stressing on the negativity. We can fall back on the wagon which are more familier to us at certain times , “Negativity”. But we need to realise that, Negativity is a black hole that only takes but doesn’t give. It sucks out all the good things and leave you in darkness. Hence, be mindful and research on how can you improve yourself on your own. Consider yourself as your biggest project!
